The process that led to the creation of this new and unique quality of patchouly is a long and laborious journey: NOSY BE PATCHOULI grows in the shade of ylang ylang trees, protecting it from direct sunlight, thus being able to grow despite the hostile climate. Growing in a different environment than the traditional one, this patchouli has developed unique olfactory properties, losing the classic camphor aroma and emphasizing nuances of bitter cocoa and sandalwood. The PATCHOULI of NOSY BE is a demanding plant, and the inhabitants of NOSE BY master its secrets.

The essential oil of patchouly is extracted by distillation from the dried stems and leaves of the plant. Patchouly is credited with aphrodisiac properties.
