I can say that I am the son of a citrus tree! Growing up in Mexico, my bedroom window overlooked a courtyard where, even today, a lemon tree and a bitter orange tree thrive. My childhood was infused with the scent of these trees: the foliage, the tender branches, the flowers and of course, the fruits are extremely perfumed. For this composition I wanted to express my deep love for citrus through an extremely intricate top note that can be described as an anamorphosis of hesperidic notes: the spike of lemons, the elegance of bergamot, the sweetness of oranges, the floral notes. and the fruity mandarin oranges, all together working in unison. In addition, I always perceive a hint of iris notes in certain types of Mediterranean oranges, so this thought led me to crave this aroma with “the real deal”: absolute ultra-pure iris from Florence, reinforced with the best quality of essence of vetiver.
